About Sailing Times
We cover the sport and the industry the way sailors actually talk about them: races as they're sailed, gear as it's tested, and the business of the water without the brochure copy.
What we're for
Sailing Times launched to cover offshore racing, cruising and the marine industry with the same rigor other beats get elsewhere: verified results, tested gear, and reporting that doesn't read like it was written by the department it's supposed to be covering. We're small and global, built around people who've actually spent time on the water: a former offshore navigator, a liveaboard cruiser of nine years, a gear tester who reads spec sheets for fun.
We're not trying to out-produce the wire services on breaking results. We're trying to be the publication that explains why the result happened, what the gear is actually made of, and who benefits when a marina redevelops its long-term berths into superyacht space.

How we work
- Sourcing. Race data and standings are drawn from official results and rights holders; anything still illustrative is marked as such until a live feed is confirmed.
- Independence. Gear coverage isn't a paid placement. Our gear columnist writes about greenwashing precisely because that line gets crossed elsewhere in this industry.
