Australia and Spain have already booked their places in the 2026 Grand Final. With two events remaining, the third and final spot is still open, and Dubai could decide who takes it.

Diego Botín’s Los Gallos won the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix in Geneva, beating the BONDS Flying Roos by 14.6 seconds in the final, with ROCKWOOL Racing third. The victory secured Spain’s place in the Grand Final, while Australia’s runner-up finish was enough to confirm their own qualification.

After 11 of 13 events, Tom Slingsby’s Flying Roos lead the championship on 94 points, with Los Gallos second on 78. Australia, three-time SailGP champions, will meet the 2024 champions in the Grand Final, with one more team still to be decided.

The fight for that third place is tight. Sweden’s Artemis Racing sit third on 59 points, three ahead of the United States on 56, with Emirates GBR on 53. With up to 10 points available at each event, all three remain in contention.

Dubai, 21–22 November
The Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix is the penultimate event of the season and the last opportunity for the chasing teams to collect points before the Grand Final.
Abu Dhabi, 28–29 November
The season concludes in Abu Dhabi, where the Rolex SailGP Championship will be decided in a winner-takes-all Grand Final between the top three teams.
