Martin Wrigley and Bettine Harris Crowned 2026 470 World Champions

Gold, silver and bronze medal teams at the 2026 470 World Championship in Enoshima

Britain’s Martin Wrigley and Bettine Harris are the 2026 470 World Champions, sealing the title in Enoshima, Japan after two demanding Medal Races on the final day. The silver medal went to Germany’s Theresa Löffler and Christopher Hoerr, with Spain’s Jordi Xammar and Marta Cardona taking bronze.

Both Medal Races were sailed in very light wind, with racing starting at 9:00am. The first race went to the local Japanese team, Tetsuya Isozaki and Yurie Seki, who kept their own medal hopes alive, but Britain’s points advantage from the preliminary series already had the overall win largely in hand. In the second race, Wrigley and Harris led from the start, with the real contest coming down to the battle for silver and bronze behind them.
