Denmark’s Anne-Marie Rindom, who won bronze at Rio 2016, gold at Tokyo 2020 and silver at Paris 2024, is returning to the ILCA 6 with Los Angeles 2028 in her sights.
Rindom left the Danish national team two years ago and has since become a mother. Asked what draws her back, she pointed to the people and the fleets. “It’s the amazing environment and the people, particularly on the Danish team,” she told ILCA. “We have a really good cooperation, and it’s a lot of fun to be part of. Then there’s the competition in the ILCA: so many boats.”

Ireland’s Annalise Murphy, Rio 2016 silver medallist, made a similar comeback after five years away from the class and won the Irish National Championships. Croatia’s Tonči Stipanović and Brazil’s Robert Scheidt are cited by ILCA as other medallists the class has drawn back.
Rindom’s next test is the ILCA 6 World Championship in Brazil in January 2027.
