The final event of the 2026 TF35 Trophy opened on Lake Geneva with light and unstable conditions, limiting the fleet to three completed races on Friday.

Realteam Spirit made the most of the difficult day, winning the opening two races before X-WING took the third.

The fleet initially headed onto the course expecting a northerly Bise, but the breeze repeatedly faded. Two starts were abandoned before Race 1 finally got underway in around six knots of north-easterly breeze.

Realteam Spirit, helmed by Jérôme Clerc, fought back after ZEN Too led around the first windward gate. Realteam Spirit closed the gap on the second beat and went on to take the first win of the Geneva Grand Prix, ahead of Ylliam 17 and ZEN Too.

The breeze held at around seven knots for Race 2, where Realteam Spirit again found the pace downwind and extended away from the fleet. Ylliam 17 finished second, with Sails of Change 8 third.

Race 3 produced a different winner. X-WING took advantage of an extra tack by Sails of Change 8 at the second windward gate and went on to claim the race victory.

A fourth race was attempted, but the breeze once again disappeared and the start was abandoned.

The Geneva Grand Prix is the final event of the 2026 TF35 Trophy. The championship fight arrived in Geneva tightly packed, with only six points separating the seven teams.

Sails of Change 8 came into the final event leading the championship, followed by ZEN Too and Realteam Spirit. Ylliam 17, Ylliam XII – Comptoir Immobilier, X-WING and Sails of Change 10 were also within six points of the lead.

With the season title on the line, every completed race in Geneva could prove decisive.

Racing continues Saturday on Lake Geneva.
