Portimão, Portugal — Seated WingFoil is making its debut at the 2026 World Sailing Inclusion Championships in Portimão, where the emerging discipline is being tested in an international racing format.

The Para Inclusive WingFoil demonstration event has already produced nine races, with Great Britain’s Charlie Wolf leading France’s Guillaume Colin by four points. Colin won three of the four races sailed on Tuesday, while Wednesday’s three races saw the two sailors share the race victories. World Sailing

The event is being used to develop the discipline around equipment, technique and racing formats, with riders competing on adapted seated foil boards. World Sailing describes the Portimão event as a demonstration discipline, rather than a championship title. World Sailing
