Barcolana 58 Set to Fill the Gulf of Trieste Again

The Barcolana fleet massed in the Gulf of Trieste

Barcolana 58, the Guinness World Record holder as the largest regatta on the planet, starts October 11 in the Gulf of Trieste. The main race gets underway at 10:30am from a start line between Barcola and Miramare, with organizers again expecting well over a thousand boats on the water.

The fleet races a fixed-vertex quadrilateral course covering 13 nautical miles in the Gulf. Barcolana week runs from October 2 through the main event on the 11th, with a full program of side races and events building up to race day.
