De Amicis, Picot and Rashley Crowned Wing Sport World Champions in Silvaplana

Silvaplana, Switzerland crowned its wing sport world champions this season at the Ensis Engadinwing Formula Wing Youth and WingFoil Open Masters World Championships, held June 21-26 on Lake Silvaplana in the Engadin valley. More than 100 competitors from 22 nations and five continents raced across the week.

Italy’s Ernesto De Amicis took his second Formula Wing Youth World Championship title in the men’s fleet, while France’s Vaina Picot won the women’s Formula Wing Youth title. In the WingFoil Open Masters division, Great Britain’s Chris Rashley claimed the men’s world title.

The results cap a fast-growing season for wing sport racing, which has expanded rapidly on the back of accessible gear and venues that can run fleet racing in a wide range of wind strengths.
