Record Maxi Fleet Set for Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez

Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez opens September 26 for nine days of racing in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, running through October 4. More than 260 boats are entered this year, including a record fleet of nearly 50 Maxis and three J Class yachts alongside the regatta’s traditional classic-yacht fleet.

The event remains built around its split identity: century-old classics racing on one side of the bay, ultra-modern maxis and grand-prix raceboats on the other. The Gstaad Yacht Club Centenary Trophy, reserved for yachts over 100 years old, runs its 15th edition this year.

Racing across all fleets is scheduled daily, with starts from around 11am local time and courses tracing both the coastline and the open waters of the Gulf.
